Designed by Vital Konzept, the generated strategy reflects the Client’s vision and objectives for the new teaching hospital to state a functional, flexible, modern, sustainable, it′s Iconic building represents the new faculty of medicine in the campus and thus, Visualizing a new image for Delta University campus.
The project includes research, education and patient care provisions, utilities, infrastructure and green spaces. The integrated space for medical-research and education on each patient floor, will accelerate the development of new diagnostic tools and treatments. The facility accommodates a total of 150 patient beds with potential expansion capacity of 200 patient beds, with anticipated floor area of 7,200m². The design provides facilities for the delivery of superlative services for Acute, and Moderate care along with world-class Academic teaching for Delta region -if not for all the local Egyptian region- in a calm, safe, healing and institutional environment.
The Design takes assertive steps to develop and encourage expertise within the current clinical workforce also providing future opportunities for education and research to be developed and adequate space for expansion. The structural solution accommodates the capacity for swift and inexpensive change and offers flexibility, adaptability and scope for growth. Innovative approaches were used to improve the program of completion and construction quality. The Design embraces a Modern Sustainable architecture that is sensitive and responsive to Egyptian sensibilities and culture, the local climate and intense daylight.
